For the third year in a row was held in Montaione “Ballando Sotto le Stelle” (Dancing under the stars), an event dedicated to the lovers of music and dance that has seen young and old dancing in the historical centre of Montaione at the rate of Polka, Waltzer, Tango and Mazurka. “Ballando Sotto le Stelle” event has become one of the most important summer event, not only for local people, but also for those who are spending an holiday in Montaione. This event has been an opportunity for dancers o enjoy the warm evening and for many other to listen typical Italian music, maybe tasting an ice cream or a glass of wine.Certainly a different way to spend a summer evening and for those who are on holiday in Montaione a wonderful memory to take home.

Was held yesterday evening in the historical centre of Montaione, a live concert of Alberto Montagnani alias Mons, that after the success of last year attracted hundreds of fans.
The singer has entertained his fans by playing with his band for over an hour his songs – including some songs of his new CD – interspersed by exchanging jokes with his audience who applauded and celebrated.

As usual, every first Tuesday of the summer months, takes place in Montaione the market of local products and handicrafts. Here we propose the video of the marketplace that took place Tuesday August 4 that was attended by many people. Many tourists enjoying the holidays in Montaione have walked among the streets of historical centre looking for some good business among the antiques and crafts, tasting the typical and genuine products of our territory.

Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 July was held in the historical centre of Montaione the “Toscana Jazz Festival”. A musical event which is part of the events calendar of Estate Montaionese and that many lovers of Jazz music couldn’t missed.
Tuesday 28 – as you can see in the video below – has performed the talented Andrea Valeri playing some songs of his repertoire – particularly from Album “The Trip” with his guitar played “fingerstyle”. Wednesday, 29 was the time of “Euphoria Quartet Show”, a group that plays the strings in a new and alternative way.

As already announced few days ago, was held on Sunday July 26 starting at 19.00 in Piazza della Repubblica, in Montaione the event “Ciccia & Wine.”
This event, even if its only the second edition, has been a great success, thanks to the participation of many tourists who may have chosen to come to Montaione to spend their vacations just to attend this event which we had given notice of the date from the first days of the year, publishing it on the calendar events of estate Montaionese 2009 on the tourist portal VisitMontaione.com.
“Ciccia e Vino” has given the opportunity to all those present to taste the good meat from a butcher of Montaione and wine of some local farms, in an atmosphere of joy gladdened by a band that played live music.

In the enchanting scenery of the cloister of the Monastery of San Vivaldo, a few km from Montaione, was held Sunday July 26, the last of 4 concerts dedicated to classical music.
During the concert, played by a brass trio composed by a flute with Fabio Fabbrizzi, an oboe with Flavio Giuliani, a clarinet with Marco Ortolani and piano played by Fabiana Barbini, have been proposed for the songs of Gusav Theodore Holst, Carl Nielsen, Malcolm Henry Arnold, Claude Debussy, Gabriel Fauré and Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns.
Participate in a concert of classical music, is an opportunity to spend a few hours to visit the nearby Holy Mount of San Vivaldo and the chapels of the Jerusalem of Tuscany.

After seen the video of the single track on the route number 3 and the video of the route number 5, VisitMontaione.tv is pleased to present a new video of mountain biking. This time it’s a variant of the track number 4 seen from the video camera mounted directly on the bike, just to have the idea of how exciting is this track which is also suitable for those who do not have a great training, thanks to the length of only 6 5 kilometers, and a fairly gentle climb on asphalt. The starting point is in the village of Iano, and from there we go up to San Vivaldo. The climb is gentle and interspersed with short runs. After a few minutes we get San Vivaldo, and after passing some houses, you get to Via Ecce Homo, passing in front of the Holy Mount of San Vivaldo. (that worth a visit, perhaps with more calm).
We continue to climb until we meet on the right the junction to the farm of Pian delle Querce. From here the trail becomes a dirt road and began a wonderful descent into the forest that you can deal with medium speed. At about mid-way on the right you can admire one of the two quarries of Iano. Towards the end of the trail the path becomes rocky and require greater caution until it again reaches the paved road that will bring you back to Iano ready for a new ride.

A right location and a festival can unify the past, present and future. The fair which was held yesterday in the centre of Montaione was dedicated to local products and crafts of Valdelsa.
The love for genuine products, made with passion and the force of human hands have been at the heart of the festival which was held in the historical centre of  Montaione and that, like every year, has been and unforgettable experience for all those who has participated.
For those who were not present to this event, here is a video that will be willing to participate in other events that take in Valdelsa, especially in Empoli on 9 July, in Certaldo on 22 July and in Castelfiorentino on July 29.

Few days ago, Tuesday, June 2, from 9am to 23pm was held in Montaione the Promotional Fair with handicrafts and antiques market and local products. This festival is part of the Montaione summer events calendar 2009, was largely successful thanks to the participation of many tourists who spend their holidays in Montaione and in the countries of the Valdelsa.
During the festival, which took place in the historical centre and in Piazza Gramsci in Montaione, were set up food stands offering tasting of typical products, while some stands showed the products of local handicrafts.
The Fair was an occasion not only for shopping, but even to know and enjoy the traditions of Tuscan culture.

Yesterday took place, in Piazza della Repubblica in Montaione, the spring market. This is one of the 9 meetings that bring together farmers and artisans in the squares of the village of Valdelsa in Tuscany.

Visitors who had the pleasure to participate in the Spring marketplace in Montaione – including many tourists who are already on holiday in Montaione – have been able to discover the authenticity and quality of wine, vin santo, grappa, the artichoke of Empoli produced by local farms. The afternoon was enhanced by live music on a stage set up in the central square of Montaione.
