Tagged Under : Localities, Tonda
Tonda and his castle probably dates back to 1212 when the German emperor Ottone IV gave the feud with the castle, the neighbourhood and all its inhabitants to two noble brothers Pisan. In the Middle Ages the walled castle of Tonda presented inside a church with a tower, a cistern for collecting rainwater and the building of the municipality.
Remained uninhabited since the Second World War, the village was renovated and turned into a residence while in Castellare there is a restaurant.
