For members of VisitMontaione.com you can upload videos of their activities (accommodations, shops, restaurants, etc.…) loading them on YouTube and then providing the address with the code to enter, as well as a description of the video in Italian and in English.
It took place yesterday in Piazza della Repubblica in Montaione, the last festival of the Events calendar Summer Montaionese 2008: the feast of Misericordia and End of the Summer.
The event began with morning Mass, the opening of all shops of Montaione, games for children, the taste of sweet and the music offered by the Philharmonic Donizetti Montaione of which we propose the video.
The calendar of events Estate Montaionese, in addition to concerts and markets has also planned a dancing event. On 27 August 20008, in the historic centre of Montaione it has been possible to dance outdoor under the stars. A joyful event, a must for lovers of dance, who could dance valzer, cha-cha-cha and twist all together, as you can see in the video below.
Last Tuesday, August 26, 2008, as the summer calendar of events Montaionese 2008, held a concert by Mons. Mons, alias Alberto Montagnani is a musician of Montaione singer-songwriter whose passion for American folk music, blues and country and the finger-picking technique led him to become a true master developing an original.
During the concert held in the historic centre of Montaione, Mons, as well as some new pieces and imitations of some well-known Italian singers, presented his album “Il Bambino delle Fragole” whose songs are a mix of music folk, pop, country, merged together by this true Italian singer.

We have just concluded the Toscana Jazz Festival, a series of concerts dedicated to Jazz music that has taken place in some towns of Tuscany from July 4 to September 27. The tour of Toscana Jazz Festival, is part of the events calendar of summer Montaionese, and was held in Montaione in the suggestive Piazza della Repubblica from 29 to 31 July 2008.
During the three evenings have played jazz music three bands: “Mad Loredana Lubrano & Orchestra”, “The Tropical mood” and “Andrea Valeri” that despite his young age has experienced numerous musical experiences. The Toscana Jazz Festival has attracted the attention not only for lovers of jazz music but also many tourists in this period spend their holidays in Montaione happy to spend an evening different from the usual.

During the event, have marched together with the band of Montaione, the bands of Scandicci the Philharmonic “Vincenzo Bellini” and Palaia the Philharmonic Giacomo Puccini representing these two small towns of Tuscany (the first near Florence and the second in Province of Pisa).
The three bands have crossed the historic centre of Montaione, then directed to retirement home Villa Serena and finally to Parco dei Mandorli where they continued to play their best music, including the famous Washington Post. The event which is part of the summer events calendar montaionese, saw the participation, as well as citizens of Montaione, of many tourists that are on holiday in Tuscany.
Like many other towns of Tuscany, Montaione has its band too: The Philharmonic Donizzetti, whose traditions are dated back to 1872, years when it was founded by the Municipality of Montaione.
Since then, the Philharmonic Gaetano Donizetti has collected a series of success playing in many other cities of Italy. Today, the Philharmonic, led by Prof. Giuliano Cetti performs during the events of Montaione dedicated to music and folk traditions that are part of the Summer Montaionese and Christmas Montaionese, particularly in the feast of St. Regolo, the bands Parade, the festival of End Summer and during Christmas events. Last Friday June 20 the Philharmonic Donizzetti has gone through the historic centre going in the nearby Parco dei Mandorli to play a wide repertoire of music during which the bands was accompanied by the majorettes.
Due to the length of event the video has been divided into 3 parts.
