For members of VisitMontaione.com you can upload videos of their activities (accommodations, shops, restaurants, etc.…) loading them on YouTube and then providing the address with the code to enter, as well as a description of the video in Italian and in English.

Ciccia e Vino in Montaione in Tuscany

If there are typical products that represent Tuscany, these are undoubtedly the Chianti wine, the bread without salt and the extravergine oil of olive. But Tuscany is well known worldwide for its famous Fiorentina steak cooked grilled. For that reason, Sunday, July 12 at 18.00 was held in the historic centre of Montaione in Piazza della Repubblica “Ciccia & Wine”. In a festive atmosphere has been possible to taste the cuisine of Montaione.
The many people who participated were able to spend some pleasant hours, accompanied by the music of a small band, tasting the typical tuscan cuisine, the extra virgin olive oil, all accompanied by a good Chianti wine. An excellent opportunity to stay with friends enjoying the good cooking.

Montaione handicrafts and typical products market

The market of typical products and handicrafts, is an event that is part of the events calendar of Estate Montaionese and takes place in Montaione all first Tuesday of every month, starting from June until September. Without doubt a unique opportunity to know closely the traditions of Montaione and taste the local products such as Chianti wine, olive oil, vinsanto, grappa, cheeses and sausages, typical of tuscan gastronomy and culinary traditions. As always the event recall lots of people, particularly tourists that in this period spend their holidays in Montaione looking for flavors and traditions of Tuscan culture.

Band parade of Tuscany in Montaione

During the event, have marched together with the band of Montaione, the bands of Scandicci the Philharmonic “Vincenzo Bellini” and Palaia the Philharmonic Giacomo Puccini representing these two small towns of Tuscany (the first near Florence and the second in Province of Pisa).
The three bands have crossed the historic centre of Montaione, then directed to retirement home Villa Serena and finally to Parco dei Mandorli where they continued to play their best music, including the famous Washington Post. The event which is part of the summer events calendar montaionese, saw the participation, as well as citizens of Montaione, of many tourists that are on holiday in Tuscany.
